How to Reset Network Settings: Step-by-Step Guide

Resetting network settings can be a helpful solution when you are experiencing network connectivity issues on your device. It clears any previously saved network settings and reverts them to their default state. Here's how to reset network settings on different devices:

Resetting Network Settings on Windows:

  1. Click on the Start menu and select Settings.
  2. Click on Network & Internet.
  3. Select Status from the left-hand menu.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom and click on Network reset.
  5. Click on Reset now.
  6. Click Yes to confirm that you want to reset your network settings.

Resetting Network Settings on Mac:

  1. Click on the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
  2. Click on Network.
  3. Select the network connection that you want to reset from the left-hand menu.
  4. Click on the minus (-) button at the bottom to remove the connection.
  5. Click on the plus (+) button at the bottom to add the connection back again.
  6. Enter your network settings as required.

Resetting Network Settings on iOS:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on General.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on Reset.
  4. Tap on Reset Network Settings.
  5. Enter your device passcode if prompted.
  6. Tap on Reset Network Settings again to confirm.

Resetting Network Settings on Android:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on System or General Management (depending on your device model).
  3. Tap on Reset options.
  4. Tap on Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth.
  5. Tap on Reset settings.
  6. Enter your device password or PIN if prompted.
  7. Tap on Reset settings again to confirm.

Note: Resetting network settings will erase all previously saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords, as well as any cellular settings, VPN configurations, and Bluetooth pairings. Make sure to have all necessary information handy before resetting your network settings.
