A trifold phone prototype unveiled by TCL.
Foldable phones have been around since a while now, however flexible foldable screen phones are fairly new, while this year we have had our good share of foldable phones with Samsung Galaxy Fold and then Huawei Mate X along with vertically folding Motorola Razr, there is a new comer which is unique as it is the first triple fold phone, for now in prototype stage.
The single screen TLC trifold phone is remarkable with the hinges at it moves different directions, one side folds in while the other side folds out, the two hinges can create a zigzag shape as you open and close the phone. when it completely folded it stacks up all three of its panels.
Specifications (so far):
- Unfolded the screen size is around 10".
- 4x rear cameras.
- 1x front facing camera.
- USB type C charging port.
- No headphone jack.
- Android.
There is no launch date for the phone, it is not even named yet. Chinese electronics brand TCL is best known for making quality TVs with cheap prices, already stepped into the smartphone market, however with a trifold phone will certainly be great way to go.
TLC will be ready to give more details about the new trifold phone in February 2020.
